Creams vs Balms
I make a balm and a cream formula with all the same tinctures, but having different consistencies. The balm is much firmer having beeswax in it. The cream version is much softer and easily spreads into the area without leaving much if any oily feeling after.
If you’re not sure which one to get, try both and see which one you like better.
The balm contains an Emulsifying Wax.
The cream contains Almond Oil, Water, Emu Oil, Emulsifying Wax, Optiphen (preservative), Steric Acid, and Xanthin Gum.
Chronic Pain Relief Balm or Cream
This is the original formula, and we’ve gotten great responses with it. Almost immediate pain relief is seen from chronic joint and muscle pain from such conditions as osteo arthritis and tendonitis.
Tinctures of Aconite, Frankincense, Myrrh, Peach Kernel, Notoginseng, Drynaria, Notopterygium
Acute Injury Relief Balm or Cream
This formula is for red swollen joints from traumas. Sprains and strains that occur suddenly after some vigorous activity. Herbs in this formula are cooling blood moving and pain reliving.
Tinctures of Red Peony, Notoginseng, Safflower, Frankincense, Myrrh, Peach Kernal, Silver
Lower Back Ease Balm or Cream
According to Chinese medicine, lower back pain is related to ‘kidney deficiency’ (though no kidney problems may be present). These herbs strengthen tendons and bones, alleviate pain, and are very warming and stimulating.
Tinctures of Dipsacus, Chinese Wild Ginger, Cinnamon Twig, Red Peony, Clematis, Codonopsis Root, Drynaria
